I reserve a portion of my practice for sliding scale with priority given to Black, Indigenous and People of Color/LGBTQ+ community. Please inquire if receiving a reduced rate would allow for you to get started.
I am an “out-of-network” provider, which means if your insurance company offers out-of-network benefits, you should receive some reimbursement for the cost of therapy. Many insurance companies that provide out-of-network benefits cover between 50%-75% of the cost per session. Contact your insurance company to find out about your specific coverage.
Here are some helpful questions to ask your insurance company to learn how much they will cover:
-What is my co-insurance or copay for out-of-network sessions?
-What is my out-of-network deductible and has it been met?
-What is my out-of-pocket max and has it been met?
-How many sessions does my plan cover per year?
-What is the out-of-network allowed amount per individual therapy session (CPT code 90834)?
